About Smart Mouth Nutrition

Smart Mouth Nutrition, LLC was created by Rima Kleiner, MS, RDN, LDN to help you find your healthiest self. Rima is a nationally-recognized food and nutrition expert based in Greensboro, NC. Rima is passionate about good food and good health. And at Smart Mouth Nutrition, she helps connect the two for individuals and families, national organizations, food companies and media.

Rima provides smart commentary in all forms of media—TV, print, radio and digital. National print media appearances have included Fitness, Family Circle, Reader’s Digest, NBC.com, Huffington Post, Washingtonian, Politico, Washington Post, Atlanta Journal Constitution, San Diego Union-Tribune, RadioMD, Popsugar, SheKnows and Bustle. She has also appeared many times over the past decade on affiliate ABC, NBC, CBS and NPR stations in Washington DC, Denver, Greensboro, Richmond, Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte.

Rima holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of North Florida. She is a licensed Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has obtained certificates of training in the following areas of expertise: Functional and Integrative Nutrition, Managing Food Allergies and Adult Weight Management. She is also a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT) and trained in food sensitivities (FODMAPs) and Nutrigenomics/Culinary Nutrition.

Earlier in her career, Rima taught nutrition classes to budding chefs at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, created nutrition and wellness programming for Kaiser Permanente Colorado, wrote freelance healthcare articles and worked in public relations. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and is involved in the Food & Culinary Professionals (FCP), Dietitians in Functional and Integrative Medicine (DIFM), Nutrition Entrepreneurs (NE), Dietitians in Business and Communications (DBC), Women’s Health (WH), Pediatric Nutrition (PNPG), Weight Management (WM) and Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) practice groups.

When Rima isn’t running Smart Mouth Nutrition, you can find her practicing yoga, cooking or kicking the soccer ball with her two children.
